Allen M. Chastanet, Owner and Managing Director of Coco Kreole, is responsible for the day to day operations and all marketing and sales efforts of the Caribbean's newest boutique property, in Rodney Bay, St. Lucia.

Chastanet has plans to break ground on 90 additional rooms this winter on land next to Coco Kreole, and later to add a further 90 rooms, a spa, a convention facility, a shopping mall and a movie theatre. "The master plan has been completed and I am very much looking forward to this new chapter in my life," he says.
From 1995 to 2003, Chastanet served as Air Jamaica's Vice President of Marketing and Sales. Before joining the airline, he was the Director of Sales and Marketing for Island Outpost and its 11 hotels in Miami's South Beach, Jamaica, and the Caribbean. He also served as the Director of Tourism for his native St. Lucia, where he was credited with bringing the island into the forefront of the Caribbean's tourism industry.
Chastanet currently serves as Chairman of the Caribbean Hotel Association's marketing committee and is a member of the Caribbean Hotel Association Charitable Trust (CHACT), a successful public/private sector alliance, uniting major hotel chains, airlines and credit card companies with the Caribbean Tourism Organisation, CARICOM (Caribbean Community) and non-CARICOM nations. Under Allen's leadership, CHACT launched a multi-million dollar campaign to market and promote the region as a single destination in Fall 2002.
In 2001, Chastanet was named Travel Agent Magazine's "Caribbean Destination Person of the Year."
Headquartered in Castries, St. Lucia, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters degree, both in economics, from Bishops University in Quebec and American University in Washington D.C., respectively.
